Dressage Horses For Sale

Riviera (Selle Francais)

Year of birth: 2010

Country of birth: France

Breeder: Elevage Kergueulen / Jean-Paul Magnen

Sire: Olivi - KWPN

Dam: Rhapsodie de Mesille - Oldenburg

Dam Sire: Rubinstein I

Breed registry: Selle Francais

Size: 16.2 hh

Location: Pepperell, Massachusetts

Her sire is the KWPN stallion Olivi - Keur (Jazz / Aktion), he is currently ranked 2nd behind his sire Jazz on the KWPN Sire Rankings. Olivi’s offsprings include the US based stallion UB40 (owned by Iron Spring Farm), ranked #6 USEF Dressage Sire in 2016. Riviera’s Oldenburg dam is the daughter of the famous stallion Rubinstein I. Riviera’s full brother Renoir has made his debut at Grand Prix in the US in 2017.

Riviera has competed in young horse classes in France, and qualified for France YH Nationals as a 6 Years Old with scores in the 70’s. She made her first show season in the US last year as a 7 years old at Second & Third levels, with consistent scores in the high 60’s and up to 71% with a USDF Gold Medalist rider. Riviera was the USDF Region 9 Reserve Champion at Third level last year! She is currently showing Fourth Level, with scores up to 70%, winning several High Point Awards at Fourth level this season in Region 8.

She has 3 very good gaits, and - like her brother - already demonstrates great abilities for collection. She is very confirmed in all Fourth level movements, and has started working canter pirouettes, and plays a bit with passage & half steps. She goes both on a snaffle or double bridle. She is not a hot mare, yet sensitive and forward thinking under saddle. She is not the type of mare to be affected by seasons or cycles. She is sweet and not opinionated hence suitable for a timid Amateur rider in my opinion, but would also make a great international quality horse for any ambitious rider.

Riviera has a very sweet personality, she is very cuddly and loves the attention! She loads easily in the trailer, trail rides, and is up-to-date with all vaccinations, dentist and coggins. She is lifetime registered with both USEF & USDF, holds a Selle Francais breed passport and a FEI passport that can be used for CDI participation.

Currently located in Massachusetts  an hour from Boston Logan airport. Asking $60,000.

Calypso (Friesian/TB Cross)

Calypso, Friesian / TB cross

Year of birth: 2007

Country of birth: USA

Sex: gelding

Breed registry: Friesian Sporthorse

Size: 17.3hh

Owner: Whitney Vess

Location: Wichita, KS (USA)

Calypso is a gorgeous black gelding, featuring the beauty of the Friesian horse and the refined confirmation of the Thoroughbred. Despite his big size, he is a very gentle horse, who has been ridden by a petite Adult Amateur rider most of his riding life. He is sensitive hence not suitable for a beginner rider. He has excellent ground manners, loads easily and clips well. He is used to be turned out alone or in a group with other horses.

Calypso has been lightly shown by his owner at Training level and by me at First Level, he is lifetime registered with USEF & USDF, as well as Declared for Year-End Breed Awards. He is a solid First Level citizen and is schooling Second Level movements.

Sire: Quintus d'09  - Belgian Warmblood

Dam Sire: Come on - Holsteiner

Cicerone comes from jumping bloodlines, and has shown both in Dressage up to Third Level (French level equivalent) and Show Jumping in 1.15m classes . He’s about 16.2hh and liver chestnut with 4 white socks. He is confirmed in all Third Level movements, has a sweet disposition and automatic changes! He goes both in a double or in a snaffle. Easy to clip, load and impeccable ground manners.

I have tried him several time...s in March 2018 in France and believe he’s a great FEI prospect and perfectly suitable for AA.
